The Bulls opened the game with a 7-0 lead that then easily translated into a double-digit lead. The Nets caught up by halftime with three points separating the scores and again in the latter end of the fourth quarter, but the Bulls pulled away by closing out the game with their starters.

Butler led the Bulls with 24 points (9-11 FG, 3-3 3PT, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals in 34 minutes of play — and that’s in the second night of a back-to-back.

 

Matchup of the Game Result

Pau Gasol versus Brook Lopez
Gasol fared better than he did Tuesday night, scoring 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one block, but Lopez came out on top. Lopez led all scorers with 26 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block.

 

Looking Forward

The Bulls will play Game 3 of the regular season Friday night at 6:30 p.m. central. They will face the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
